About BTR

BTR (Bureau Transocéans de Représentations) was founded by Mr. Guy NEDELEC in August 1984 in Asnières (92), France, where the company remained until 1988.

Since then, BTR has expanded through several strategic locations:

Saint-Maur-des-Fossés (94): 1988–2000
Theix (56), Atlantheix Business Park: 2000–2006
Vannes (56), 52 Avenue Paul DUPLAIX: 2006–Present

The company’s founder, Guy NEDELEC, retired in 2012. Before establishing BTR, he had accumulated more than 30 years of experience across African automotive markets. During the 1970s, he was responsible for developing the Mercedes-Benz distribution network in West Africa through SEA and CARIC.

About BTR

Since 1984, BTR has operated throughout the French-speaking countries of West and Central Africa, from Mauritania to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as in the Indian Ocean, including Mauritius and Madagascar, and across all French Overseas Territories (DROM-COM).

We operate as an authorized representative and distributor under specific manufacturer approvals. We also serve as a purchasing office for numerous international partners, adapting our services to evolving market conditions and each partner’s business strategy.

Our Purchasing Office

In 2015, at the request of our leading distributors, BTR launched its Purchasing Office activity to source automotive and heavy-duty parts outside the manufacturing programs of the brands we officially represented.

Following the COVID-19 period, this service experienced significant growth, particularly from manufacturing partners. Today, we act as a single point of contact for factories seeking access to our markets, especially when dealing with smaller production volumes or countries where establishing direct commercial relationships can be challenging.

Our team currently consists of five professionals, and our Vannes office operates every business day throughout the year. We maintain close and continuous communication with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, and transport companies to ensure efficient coordination across the entire supply chain.
